The Project—Marking 50 years by Building for the Future
Kaslo Community Services has successfully purchased the neighbouring property at 330 B Avenue, an important milestone in ‘The House Next Door’ campaign and a significant step forward for our community.

Thanks to an extraordinary outpouring of local support, the campaign has now surpassed its $1 million goal. This achievement reflects the collective commitment of residents, partners, and funders who share a vision of a more accessible, inclusive, and connected community space. This expanded facility will allow KCS to strengthen and grow essential programs, improving access for children, youth, families, seniors and individuals facing barriers, all close to home in the North Kootenay Lake region.
Following extensive community engagement, the required zoning and Official Community Plan (OCP) amendments were successfully approved, ensuring the project aligns with long-term community priorities. Renovations are now underway. Early work has begun on electrical systems and structural planning, with a strong focus on accessibility and future program needs. As the building transforms, so too does the potential for expanded services and deeper community impact.
