We have many opportunities to be involved in Kaslo Community Services that range in duration and time commitment to level of responsibility.

Volunteer Opportunities

Family Center

The Kaslo Family Centre needs volunteers to hold babies and play with young children while their parents attend various programs on-site, to help with snack preparations one morning each week, to help clean and maintain our space and more!

Food Hub

Food Hub volunteers help with many of our programs. There are opportunities to serve during Food Cupboard hours and also opportunities for one-time projects like processing fruit or packing Christmas Hampers. Criminal Record Checks may be required.

Become a Member

Please consider becoming a member of Kaslo Community Services Society. Membership is just $10 per year or $250 for a Lifetime membership.

Benefits of membership include voting rights at our Annual General Meeting.

Join the Board of Directors

We have a volunteer board of directors. A strong board will guide and sustain our dynamic organization. Board members give feedback and support through monthly meetings and participation in committees and community events.

Ways to Donate

Your donation can be given to a specific program or can be left for us to use where it is most needed.

Donations can be directed to:

  • Family Resource Centre
  • Counselling
  • Victim Services
  • Youth Activities
  • General Programs
  • Or any other one of our programs

You will receive a charitable donation tax receipt immediately

Food Donations are gratefully accepted at the Kaslo Food Hub, 500 4th St (alley entrance) on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm and Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm. We accept canned and dry goods that have not previously been opened, as well as fresh garden produce. Your contribution goes directly to our food cupboard recipients. Donations outside our normal hours can be arranged by calling 353-7120

Financial Donations

Use the Membership and Donations Form below to let us know where you want your money to go and mail a cheque to Kaslo Community Services, Box 546, Kaslo, BC, V0G 1M0 or drop it off at 336 B Avenue in Kaslo.  A charitable donation tax receipt will be mailed for all donations of $20 or more.

Give us a call to get your donor number and then you can use online banking with your Credit Union account to make a payment to us.  When we have received your donation we will mail you a charitable tax receipt. 

  1. Add Kaslo Community Services Society to your will as a beneficiary
  2. Set up a recurring monthly donation directly from your credit union account through our Canada Helps charitable donation service
  3. Donate securities, property, or life insurance
