The good news there are a lot of diverse activities happening in Kaslo and Nelson for youth. Generally, youth seem to be very busy with afterschool or weekend commitments and activities.
CBAL – SOGI oriented workshops well attended ran twice. Your life in lines was picked up in differing communities. Reaching youth through zoom was difficult.
Local and face to face programming has advantages – and speaks well to youth, this came up in discussion about online vs face to face programs.
The rental cost for LVCC can become a barrier for offering programs. It used to be free but is currently $225 to meet the needs of our events.
